As a Vietnamese migrant, Yuzhen Mai married a Taiwanese man and gave birth to two children. After she divorced, she worked as an interpreter in the police station and found out that many immigrant women are suffering from domestic violence. She thus established the Taiwan New Immigration Association to support them.
